SymTex has developed 8 core values that guide our culture, our
brand and our decisions - from day-to-day operations to hiring and
even which projects to accept. Our employees live by these values,
and we ask that potential partners and clients review these values
because we've found that the best collaboration occurs when we work
with those who understand and agree with our values.
Honesty and Trust
Above all else, we value the truth. The most important thing is
to keep our word, never taking advantage of
anyone and always telling the truth. We know that we can
trust those around us, and will only work with
those that we can trust. We will always pursue openness and
honesty, even when it hurts or we have bad news to deliver.
Positive Attitude and Fun Environment
We work in a fun, positive outlook and environment
where we care about our relationships with our
coworkers, clients and partners. A sense of humor and a
positive attitude are key - our work has no meaning
and no value if its not fun and if our co-workers and clients
don't enjoy being around us and working with us. We are
passionate about what we do, and we should share that passion
with each other, our clients and the world.
Respect and Empathy
We must always try to understand the cause of
someone else's behavior. We strive to understand
our cowokers and clients and accept them,
treating them as we'd like to be treated. Do not judge other
people, because you can't always understand why someone does
the things that they do, and you should accept them as
unique, valuable individuals.
We always respect each other, and make sure to respect our
supervisors, treating them and their instructions to us with the
respect they deserve. Supervisors should treat their subordinates
the same way.
Family Friendship and Loyalty
We aren't just building a company, we're building a
group of friends, a family. We'll always be loyal
to one another and to our clients, even when that loyalty
might be difficult.
Responsibility and Honor
We will always do what is right, moral & ethical
even when it's not the easiest thing to do. We
take responsibility for our actions, inactions and the
impact they have on each other, our clients and
the world at large. This means always considering how our
actions will impact the success of a project, the project's
budget and the company as a whole.
Learn, Innovate and Share Knowledge
We always strive to learn new, innovative things and
push ourselves and each other to improve,
becoming better employees as well as better people.
Knowledge should never be hoarded, and instead must be
shared freely with our clients and each other. We
always try new things, and try new approaches to old
things. We're never afraid to try something
because no one else has done it before, and we strive
to accomplish things that no one thinks we can. We
share the knowledge we have with our clients, and use it to
show them what course of action we recommend and why, even
when that course of action may be more difficult for us, or
may help them learn how to complete tasks themselves that
they previously paid us to do.
Constantly Improving
We should always pursue the highest quality results
in our work as well as our relationships, and
constantly improve both our technical and interpersonal
skills. This goes for all of us, and means that even the
newest employee should always share their feedback on how we
can improve as a company and as individuals - in both
technical skills as well as interpersonal skills, our company
culture and the service we provide our clients. While we
should always pursue the highest quality, we also must take
care to improve our ability to deliver the best quality
results within the budget each client or project might have.
Cooperation and Collaboration
We must always cooperate with one another and with our
clients; no one wins when we try to one-up or
outdo each other, and even the most difficult situations can
be better resolved with cooperation than
confrontation and arguing. We are all working together to reach a
common goal - to complete a project, to see a client be
successful, to grow our company and its unique, positive
culture - and we must never lose sight of that.
